SPORTS & HOLISTIC MULTIPURPOSE CENTER

The Municipal Holistic Center of Ferla represents a pioneering reality in Italy, being the country’s first public holistic center.

Born in 2017 from the conversion of a former theater, the main area now houses a multipurpose sports court, while over 200 square meters of former offices have been reinvented as a vessel for ideas and well-being, becoming a reference point for new lifestyles and civic participation.

The interior design blends industrial style with exotic touches, using sustainable furniture crafted by artisans from the Hyblaean Mountains.

Thanks to a dedicated photovoltaic system, the center is a model of energy self-sufficiency and sustainability.

The project promotes a “slow” lifestyle through significant initiatives:

• Wellness Weekends: Weeks dedicated to self-care organized through collaboration between the Municipality and local associations.
• Disciplines and Seminars: Courses in yoga, literature, and poetry; seminars on ethics and politics; and university workshops.
• Major Events: In March 2017, the facility hosted the first International Reiki Festival in Italy.
