A fantastic village
Nestled in the Hyblaean Mountains, Ferla is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, where the charm of medieval alleys meets the splendor of Sicilian Baroque. From the ancient gateway to Pantalica to a pioneering model of contemporary sustainability, this village welcomes visitors on a unique journey through ancient roots and a vision of the future.
History
In Ferla, even stone can transform to meet the needs of the times. This is the case with BorgOstello, an innovative and sustainable municipal accommodation facility that represents the latest, extraordinary step in the village’s urban regeneration.
Located within the Town Hall on Via Garibaldi, this building preserves a centuries-old history of service to the citizens: originally a hospital, it later became the town hall, housing municipal offices for a long time. With the consolidation of administrative activities into a single modern complex, the structure was not abandoned, but reinvented to open up to the world.
